FAQs for PPF Calculator

What is a PPF Calculator?
A PPF (Public Provident Fund) calculator is a financial tool that assists individuals in India in planning their long-term savings by estimating the potential maturity amount and interest earned on investments made in the PPF scheme, which offers fixed returns and tax benefits.
What are the limitations of PPF?
Tenure: The PPF has a minimum tenure of 15 years, which can be extended in blocks of 5 years as per your wish. Investment limits: PPF allows a minimum investment of Rs 500 and a maximum of Rs 1.5 lakh for each financial year. Investments can be made in a lump sum or in a maximum of 12 instalments.
How often PPF interest is calculated?
Interest on PPF is calculated every month on the lowest balance in the PPF account after the 5th of every month to the last day of the month. This amount is then credited to the PPF account at the end of every financial year.
How is PPF tenure calculated?
So say the account was opened on the 4th of June 2020, the financial year end of this year is 31st March 2021, so the maturity year will be 2021+15 = 2036, and the PPF maturity date will be 1st of April 2036. The PPF amount after 15 years will be credited to the account on this date.
How many times can I put money in PPF?
